ThingSmart is a boutique technology consultancy that designs, builds, and integrates the systems businesses depend on every day — from the website your customers see, through to the ERP, e-commerce, and IoT platforms running the operations behind it. Founded in 2020 and based in London, we work with small and medium enterprises across the United Kingdom and further afield.

Twenty-five years at the bench. A cross-platform systems engineer working with Linux, Windows, and network environments since 2000 — bare-metal, virtualisation, cloud migrations, CI/CD, and the operational discipline that holds them all together.
Before ThingSmart, Vedat spent years managing infrastructure for companies across Europe, Central Asia, and the Middle East. The work spanned the deeply technical — datacentre buildouts, network documentation, observability — and the deeply practical — choosing tools an SME can actually afford to live with.
That operational discipline now anchors every engagement. Infrastructure as code. Automated deployment. Containerisation. Monitoring-first thinking. Applied not to whiteboards, but to the businesses ThingSmart serves.
